He had grown rich by taking more money than he should, and many people did not like him at all. He was also a very short man.<\/p>\n  <p>One day Jesus came to town, and the streets were so crowded that Zacchaeus could not see over the heads of the people. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree just to catch a glimpse. To his great surprise, Jesus stopped right beneath the branches, looked up, and called him by name: &#8220;Zacchaeus, come down \u2014 today I am coming to your house.&#8221;<\/p>\n  <p>Jesus chose to be the friend of the very person everyone else had given up on. That kindness changed Zacchaeus&#8217;s heart completely: he promised to give to the poor and to pay back anyone he had cheated, many times over. It is a beautiful reminder that no one is ever too small, too lost, or too far away for Jesus to love.<\/p>\n\n  <blockquote class=\"lwc-verse\">\n    &#8220;For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.&#8221;\n    <cite>Luke 19:10<\/cite>\n  <\/blockquote>\n\n  <h2>Colour &amp; Chat<\/h2>\n  <p>While you colour, here are a few things to wonder about together:<\/p>\n  <ul class=\"lwc-tips\">\n    <li>Zacchaeus climbed high to see Jesus \u2014 can you find him peeking through the branches?<\/li>\n    <li>Look at the crowd below: who is pointing, and who looks surprised?<\/li>\n    <li>Jesus knew Zacchaeus&#8217;s name before he said a single word.
