They were not sure what would happen next, but they trusted His promise.<\/p>\n  <p>Suddenly a sound like a rushing wind filled the whole place, and what looked like little flames of fire came to rest on each of them. God&#8217;s Holy Spirit had come, just as Jesus had promised! Filled with joy and courage, they began to praise God.<\/p>\n  <p>From that day on, Jesus&#8217; friends went out boldly to tell everyone the good news. This special day is called Pentecost &mdash; the day the church was born. God gives that same Holy Spirit to help and comfort His people still today.<\/p>\n\n  <blockquote class=\"lwc-verse\">\n    &#8220;They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.&#8221;\n    <cite>Acts 2:4<\/cite>\n  <\/blockquote>\n\n  <h2>Colour &amp; Chat<\/h2>\n  <p>While you colour, here are a few things to wonder about together:<\/p>\n  <ul class=\"lwc-tips\">\n    <li>Little flames rest above each person &mdash; can you count them?<\/li>\n    <li>Everyone looks full of joy. How do you show that you are happy and thankful?<\/li>\n    <li>God sent His Spirit to help His friends be brave.
