A hurt traveller, a busy road, and one kind stranger who stopped to help. Colour the Good Samaritan with this free printable Bible page for kids.
The Story Behind the Picture
Jesus told a story about a man who was travelling along a lonely road when robbers attacked him and left him hurt by the roadside. Two people walked past and did not stop to help.
Then a man from Samaria came along. Many people in those days looked down on Samaritans — but this man had a kind heart. When he saw the hurt traveller, he stopped at once, gently cleaned and bandaged his wounds, and lifted him onto his own donkey.
He took the man to an inn, cared for him, and paid for everything he needed. Jesus told this story to teach us what real love looks like: helping anyone in need, even a stranger. “Go,” said Jesus, “and do the same.”
“You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Luke 10:27
Colour & Chat
While you colour, here are a few things to wonder about together:
- Can you find the kind Samaritan helping the hurt traveller?
- The Samaritan brought his donkey to carry the man — can you spot it?
- Jesus said to help anyone in need. Who is someone you could be kind to this week?
Print it, colour it, and let the good Samaritan remind your family to show kindness to everyone, everywhere.
