The Story Behind the Picture
An important man from far-off Ethiopia was riding home in his chariot, reading from the book of Isaiah. He wanted to understand it, but the words puzzled him.
God sent Philip to walk alongside the chariot. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” said the man, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to sit beside him.
As they rode along, Philip explained that the Scriptures were pointing to Jesus. The man believed with all his heart and was baptised right there along the road, and went on his way full of joy. God loves to send the right person at just the right moment.
